Eid al-fitr

Eid al-fitr , also called Feast of Breaking the Fast, the Sugar Feast, the Sweet Festival and the Lesser Eid, is one of the biggest and most important celebrations worldwide held by Muslims by the end of month Ramadan in which Muslims fast for a month

This Eid is a one day celebration (first of month Shawwal) and Muslims are not allowed to fast that day, they celebrate one month of hardship and sacrifice they made to clear their souls from evil and bad seeds, It is also a symbol of unity between Muslims all around the world.

In this day Muslims perform a special prayer in congregation to finish one month of being God’s guest and thank him for the opportunity to clear their souls and sins. They also celebrate this day with their families and prepare various foods and drink as appreciation. This day is a holiday in all Muslim countries.

As an Islamic festival the religious and holy part of this celebration considered more important than the other parts, practicing fast in Ramadan and the suffering of not eating and drinking and also keeping the soul from bad seeds and actions. Eid al-fitr is a reminder of these cleanness of soul for rest of the year.
