On the Thanksgiving Day, Pilmoth in Massachusetts is
the place to be, on the 4th Thursday of November, Pilmoth people prepare a
harvesting festival to celebrate their success in wheat cropping for three
consecutive days, and people from all America go there to attend this feast.
This celebration originated in autumn of 1621, the
original pilgrims founded the celebration for their good harvest and the hosts
share their meal like turkey, fish and partridge with others and Native
American tribes.
President Lincoln made thanksgiving a national holiday
in 1863. And pilmoth is a good place to plan a trip on thanksgiving, to observe
the origins of the American tradition.
They also have a village that still lives in 17th
century with all their traditions and it is very nice to see how people lived
back then today with your eyes.
