Spring Festival - Chinese New Year



 Spring Festival is the chines most important holiday in which they celebrate their new lunar year. Chines new year celebration starts from new year’s eve of the first day of chines calendar day and ends with “Lantern Festival” on 15th day of the first month. It is the longest chinese holiday.



Chinese New Year is celebrated in countries and territories with significant Chinese populations, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia,Mauritius, Philippines, and also in Chinatowns elsewhere. Chinese New Year is considered a major holiday for the Chinese and has had influence on the lunar New Year celebrations of its geographic neighbors.



The New year holidays is the best time for families to get together and celebrate their traditions clean their homes and plan for their new year. Windows and doors will be decorated with red color paper-cuts and couplets with popular themes of "good fortune" or "happiness", "wealth", and "longevity." Other activities include lighting firecrackers and giving money in red paper envelopes.





all these traditions have a deep root in culture and history of Chinese and they are parts of their beliefs and every tradition is symbol for good faith and fortune and a wish for a better year.
